Forget Winter. Spring is still more than two weeks away according to my calendar but, the crocus’s blooming in my yard think otherwise. I am putting Winter behind me and jumping right into spring.
I love to capture the feel of moving water. Some people may like a faster shutter speed to freeze action; others may prefer a slow shutter speed to show the milky effect that emphasizes movement. Either way, the results can be dramatic, abstract, and beautiful.
Streams, rivers, and waterfalls always draw my creative attention no matter where I am but, one of the BEST places to photograph these subjects is in Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Every year we have a workshop here and spend one full day in Tremont along the beautiful middle prong of the Little River. Flowing water moves over mossy boulders creating beautiful patterns full of color and interest. It is a stunning place.
